This is another very detailed DVD showing how to service maintain
and check your discovery. This one is an auto and it's the old girl
we used to prove that a standard vehicle is fine to use on our
www.Spanish4X4.com holidays.
This was the pre trip service.
Here's a run down of the jobs and details we cover.
Interior to start with and Mot Test
Checks I start with the interior as its an
important part of service and vastly overlooked. I tell what
electricals lights and switches have to work, pedal checks etc.
Under bonnet checks and maintenance
We work through the fluid level checks and where they should be with
a little look at the cruise control pipes. Checking the glow plugs
operate and then how to remove and replace them.
Change the Fuel Filter & Air Filter
then followed up with the lift pump location and operation for
priming the fuel up after changing the filter.
Serpentine belt ? yes its the flash name for what I normally call
the fan belt except this one belt does everything on our 300Tdi so a
spare one of these is good idea. While its off you can check the
bearings in everything from water pump to alternator, I tell you how
in detail on the DVD. |
